I’m in the mood to write in English, so bear with my not-so-good English ‘kay?

As usual, during my ‘recharging process’ back at my home in Bogor, my lil’ sis’ always have something for me to work on. Like that time, when I helped her with her art project, making a lovely pentagon purse. This time, I was asked to help her made a park lamp.

Today, there will be an art exhibition in her school. Her class will perform a poetry musicalization, using the Latinos theme. I was showed her costume she will be wearing, it was cool!! The blouse, satin red with ruffles, combined with a black highway pants. Plus, a pair of red heels, and fedora hat. I’m sooo curious what she will be like, ahahaha.

So, one of the background for the performance is a park, with a fountain, chair, and of course, a park lamp. When she knew I was going home this weekend, she volunteered herself to make the lamp. She knew exactly that I would help her making it -_-

And here it is, a park lamp, minus the pole…

Okay, now back to work…

me: what subject? *coz, if it’s physics, the answer would be a big no no*

imouto-chan: art, making something from a polygon, so.. I want to make a purse using pentagon…

imouto-chan: haha, I know you’ll want to..

She made the pattern, I cut them… She covered each part with fancy paper, I put them together.. In the middle of the night, we amazed with our work, it’s sooooooooo pretty!! Here it is…

My hands are kinda tired of work, they want to do something different… So one night, I found them busy cutting, drawing, coloring… with fingers covered by glue… Past midnight, they take the camera, take a picture of their hard work, and proudly present you this…

BerTa, alias Beruangnya si Ta (ta, my nickname), hasil iseng-iseng di waktu yang harusnya dialokasikan buat TA (Tugas Akhir, also called ‘skripsi’), hehe…

Si BerTa ini 100% terbuat dari kertas loh, eh, 99% kertas 1% lem deh. Makanya namanya ‘papercraft’, ato kalo dalam bahasa Jepang ‘pepakura’. Pola-pola untuk papercraft ini udah banyak dan tersedia secara bebas di internet. Coba deh, buka search engine terus masukin keyword ‘papercraft’ atau ‘pepakura’.

Kita cuma tinggal download polanya (biasanya dalam bentuk .pdf), terus di-print (bagusnya sih di kertas yang agak tebel, dan printer nya yang warnanya oke…). Di polanya juga biasanya ada petunjuknya, bagian mana yang harus digunting, dilipat, atau dilem.

Pola papercraft ada macem-macem. Ada pola bangunan-bangunan (ada monas juga loh!), yang keren itu pola gereja notredame, sama istana Jepang jaman Meiji (bakalan jadi proyek ntar kalo udah lulus, hihi…).

Kalo sepupu pernah bikin papercraft nya Gundam, keren juga tuh. Oiya, saya juga tau tentang papercraft itu dari sepupu. Kalo dari situs-situs Jepang, pepakura biasanya kalo ga Gundam, ya karakter-karakter dari anime.

Saya memutuskan buat nyoba bikin BerTa sebagai debut saya ber-papercraft, karena si Berta ini bisa digerak-gerakin tangan, kaki, dan kepalanya! Lucu kaaan?? Jadi posenya bisa diganti-ganti! Lucunyaaa…

Si BerTa ini jadi temen saya ngerjain TA, huhu.. baik banget deh, BerTa itu…

Yak, mari ber-TA bersama BerTa!!!
