Spring Holiday: Riquewihr & Kaysersberg

I’m actually feeling very guilty because I’ve just write about this now >.<. This day-trip was initiated by my fellow LCT student, Casey, in… wait let me check first… the end of April. Aw, it almost feels like last year ^^; At that time I had no class anymore, but still had to deal with projects and exam. Anyhoo.. it’s springtime, so.. time to have some fun! :)

We *four of us: me, Casey, Shashi, and Tzuyi* went to the Riquewihr and Kaysersberg, small towns (or villages?) in the Alsace region. It took only 2 hours driving from Nancy to Riquewihr, and around 15 minutes from Riquewihr to Kaysersberg.

The main tourist attraction is the town itself, because the houses there have a unique and colorful design. You’ll feel like you’re still in middle ages. And also, we went few days after Easter, so there were still Easter decorations all over the town, so cute…

End-of-Year 2010 Holiday: Captured Moments

Finally! I’ve finished compiling all of the pictures taken during the twelve days of my end-of-year holiday. It’s a lot, I know. There are still thousands in my camera’s memory card, but these ones below, I really want to share them with you :”>. I feel it’s kind of a waste to just keep it to myself ;p. So, enjoy!

Ehem, maaf, terpaksa kembali ke mode bahasa Indonesia :) ) Rasanya masih kurang jago bercerita dalam bahasa Inggris ;p. Seperti yang sudah saya ceritakan sedikit di sini, total 12 hari saya habiskan berkeliling di 10 kota: Strasbourg, Paris, Barcelona, Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla, Madrid, San Sebastian (Donostia), Biarritz, dan Bordeaux.

1 Syawal 1431H en Metz

Uhmm, I think I’m gonna write this story in Bahasa, coz’ I kinda miss home right now @_@ I used to spend Eid day with my family, and not this year, huks…

But it’s okay, I had a very great Lebaran anyway ^^. Let’s see… *akan sangat panjang ceritanya XD*

Jam 4 pagi sudah harus bangun, karena rencananya mau naik kereta jam 06.24 ke… Metz! Tadinya mau ke Paris, berburu ketupat dan kawan-kawannya di KBRI, tapi… tiket kereta ke Paris mahal bok ^^;. Apalagi kalau beli sehari sebelum berangkat, beuhh… Jadilah kami *saya dan Rona, sesama rakyat Indonesia di Nancy* memutuskan berlebaran di Metz, menemani Pak Jaka, yang sendirian saja di Metz. Tentu saja, sekalian jalan-jalan ^^v

Sekilas info… Metz adalah salah satu kota di region Lorraine, sama seperti Nancy. Terletak di sebelah utara Nancy, dan berjarak kira-kira 40 menit *dengan kereta* dari Nancy. Sekarang, Metz adalah ibu kota dari Lorraine *dulunya Nancy*. Jadi bisa dibilang Metz adalah kota pusat administratif, sedangkan Nancy adalah kota pusat bisnis. Memang Nancy lebih ramai jika dibandingkan dengan Metz.

Lanjut… Saya keluar rumah kira-kira jam 05.10. Masih gelap, dingin, sepi belum ada orang sama sekali, jalan menuju halte bus. Apesnya, waktu lagi asik jalan tiba-tiba busnya lewat di depan mata, ga mungkin kekejar -_-. Sampai di halte, mengecek jadwal bus, baru ada bus lagi 40 menit kemudian T___T. Akhirnya memutuskan untuk jalan kaki ke stasiun *sekitar 2,5 km, setengah jam jalan kaki*.

Sampai di pusat kota, udah ga sanggup jalan lagi, dingin buanget. Naik tram deh, padahal dekat, cuma melewati 1 halte :) ). Sekitar jam 06.40 berangkat deh dari Nancy, ga jadi naik yang 06.24 karena udah telat ;p. Sampai Metz jam setengah 8, dan sudah dijemput Pak Jaka di stasiun.

Langsung menuju mesjid *well, bentuknya sih kayak apartment biasa ^^* yang terletak di Centre-Ville, untuk sholat Ied. Naik ke lantai atas, untuk wanita, dan sudah berkumpul ibu-ibu. Menurut Pak Jaka sih, mesjid ini mesjid Arab, makanya sholat Ied di hari Jumat. Kalau mesjid Turki sudah lebaran di hari Kamis.
